Pavement patching, overlaying to affect 8th Street NE | Updates

Beginning Wednesday, May 8, through Wednesday, May 15, construction work by Lakeside Industries, Inc., for a citywide pavement patching and overlay project will require lane shifts and disruptions on 8th Street NE between Auburn Way North and M Street NE.

The project – to construct a pavement grind and overlay and adjust utility castings to the new roadway surface – will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and will require one-lane alternating traffic through the work zone. The work is dependent on weather, and may be rescheduled without further notice.

Access to residences within the project area will be maintained during construction, however, delays should be expected. Please pay close attention to police officers, flaggers and signs.

• On Monday, May 13, through Wednesday, May 22, utility work by Potelco for Puget Sound Energy will require lane closures and disruptions westbound on Auburn Way South (State Route 164), from Muckleshoot Plaza to 17th Street SE from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected.

• Through Thursday, May 9, construction work by Lakeside Industries, Inc., for a citywide pavement patching and overlay project will require lane closures and disruptions on Terrace Drive between W Street NW and U Street NW to construct a pavement grind and inlay and adjust utility castings to the new roadway surface.

The work will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will require one lane alternating traffic through the work zone. The work is dependent on weather, and may be rescheduled without further notice.

• Through Friday, May 10, construction work by Road Construction Northwest for traffic signal project will require lane closures and disruptions in all directions at the intersection of A Street SE and 37th Street SE from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected.

• Through Friday, May 10, construction work by Alston Construction for the North Auburn Logistics project will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of West Valley Highway from 37th Street NW to South 287th Street between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Through Friday, May 24, construction work by Stafford Excavating for the MIT Allotment M7 West project, will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of Auburn Way South, from Union Court SE to 32nd Street SE, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The work is not dependent on weather and may be rescheduled without further notice.
