The Auburn School District board of directors unanimously approved placing a four-year Educational Program and Operations Replacement Levy on the Feb. 9 ballot.
The levy will replace the 2012 levy that expires in 2016.
The replacement levy provides 21 percent of the school district’s budget. It will collect $40.7 million in 2017, $43 million in 2018, $45.4 million in 2019 and $47.75 million in 2020. The total school tax rate will remain level.
Funds from the levy are used for all athletics and activities, special education, textbooks, supplies, counselors, nurses, grounds, building maintenance, honors and Advanced Placement education and transportation.
The election is all-mail and ballots must be postmarked by Feb. 9. Voters must be registered by Jan. 11 to vote in the election.
