The Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation Department presents its Summer Sounds & Cinema Series – a Friday night combination of entertainment and movies.
The series open at 7 p.m. Friday, July 26 at Lea Hill Park, 31693 124th Ave. SE on Friday. Crème Tangerine, a Beatles tribute band from Seattle performs a 90-minute concert followed by a screening of the “Incredibles 2” (PG).
The city of Auburn will also be offering inflatable rides. Artist Brian Lane will lead participants in super hero printmaking and button making in an ArtRageous hands-on activity. Stacks Food Truck will sell a variety of burgers, fries and drinks, and Tastyz who serve kettle corn, shave ice and more.

• 7 p.m. Aug. 2, Sunset Park, 1420 69th St. SE, with entertainment provided by The Marlin James Band, playing country favorites. Movie: “Ralph Breaks the Internet” (PG), an adventure of two friends travelling the internet. Artist Ann Marie Natali leads the ArtRageous activity. Arnold’s Happy Days’ Food Truck will sell burgers, salads and beverages. The Auburn Youth Council will serve hot dogs, chips, popcorn, drinks and other treats.
• 6 p.m. Aug. 9, Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St., SE. Joanie Leeds, a New Yorker and master children’s musician, performs a 40-minute show followed by Nate Botsford, playing country rock. Movie: “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” (PG) will be shown at dusk. Activites and food will be available.
Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets.
