Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Dec. 2 and Dec. 7:

Dec. 2

Theft from motor vehicle: 8:09 a.m., 11200 block of Southeast 313th Place. Subjects unknown vandalized a vehicle of unknown make in some way and stole some sort of property.

Burglary: Overnight, 1201 M St. SE. Miles Sand and Gravel reported that burglars broke into two of its buildings, but didn’t say whether the burglars actually burgled anything.

Shoplifting: 2 p.m., 1400 block of Supermall Way Southwest. Walmart store security caught two females of undefined age shoplifting cosmetics. The police came along and arrested them.

Dead animal: 5:55 p.m., 2000 Lake Tapps Parkway E. An injured deer was euthanized in the 2000 block of Lake Tapps Parkway East after colliding with a vehicle.

Dec. 6

Yahoo chucks rock: 7:31 a.m., 1800 block of 19th Drive Northeast. Somebody unknown chucked a rock through a vehicle window and cut up somebody’s lawn ornaments. Police did not offer an estimate of damages.

Burglary: Overnight, 4220 A St. SE. A local business owner reported that somebody had stolen an undisclosed amount of cash from the till from a drawer inside the business. Nothing else was missing, and the incident didn’t appear to be a break-in.

Vandalism: 12:25 p.m., 2800 block of Skyway Place Southeast. Subjects unknown flung stones through a vehicle’s windows, resulting in undisclosed damages.

Vandalism: 12:58 p.m., 2020 Auburn Way N. In the dead of night over recent days, vandals unknown broke into vehicles at a local dealership and stole unidentified items worth undisclosed amounts.

Shoplifting: 3:44 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a man for shoplifting something, possibly a coat but who really knows, from the Burlington Coat Factory at the SuperMall. Police cited the shoplifter and released him.

Theft from motor vehicle: 3:48 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Subjects unknown vandalized somebody’s vehicle and ran off with a pair of shoes. No value was given.

Vandalism: 6:51 p.m., 1200 block of 4th Street Northeast. Subjects unknown vandalized somebody’s house window with an unknown object, resulting in undisclosed damages.

Dec. 7

Vehicular assault: 12:46 a.m., 1500 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a man for vehicular assault after he crashed the car he was driving into a traffic signal at a high rate of speed. Medics took the guy’s passenger to Harborview Medical Center with severe internal injuries.
