Junior running back Berkley Alfrey ran for 192 yards on 28 carries and freshman quarterback Kayde Bodine threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, but it wasn’t enough in Auburn Mountainview’s 38-20 loss to Enumclaw in a North Puget Sound League Mountain Division opener Friday night at Auburn Memorial Stadium.
The Hornets (4-0 overall) scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to turn away the Lions (2-2).
Bodine completed 16 of 32 passes for 157 yards, with two interceptions. Teagin Child and Cooper White each caught a TD pass.
Child had 13 tackles, and Alfrey and Keanu Mailoto each had 10 to lead the Lions.
Auburn Mountainview hosts Kentwood (1-0, 3-1) in a division game at 7 p.m. Friday.
