The latest combined King and Pierce counties general election updates saw one candidate for Auburn City Counncil and another for Auburn School Board build on the leads they’d first taken over their rivals late Friday night.

As of 3:38 p.m. Tuesday, 382 votes separated front-runner Robyn Mulenga from Ryan Burnett in the race for the open Position 5 seat, that is a 6,688 to 6,306 vote difference, a 30-vote pickup for Mulenga from Friday that has opened up a 51.1 percent to 48.2 percent margin.

In the contest for the lone open seat on the Auburn School District Board of Directors, Arlista Holman built slightly on her lead over Chris Grames, which stands at 7,544 to his 7,502 vote total, a 49.9 percent to 49.4 percent.margin. Holman’s Tuesday pickup was 42 votes to Grames’ 34.

In the contest for city council Position 7, incumbent Bob Baggett’s tally stands at 6,688 total votes to Vera Orlandic-Hodak’s 6,328, a 51.05 to 48.3 percent margin.

And in the race for the open city council Position No. 3 seat, James Jeyaraj ended the day with 7,200 votes to Ken Pearson 5,761, a 55.2 to 44.2 percent difference.
