Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between March 18 and March 24:

March 18

Felony vandalism: 8 a.m., 2000 block of Auburn Way North. Vandals practiced their nasty avocation on numerous vehicles.

Theft: 6 a.m., 200 block of 37th Place Southeast. A thief or thieves working under cover of darkness swiped tools from a vehicle.

March 20

Trespassing: 5:41 a.m., 505 17th St. SE. In the early morning hours of this day, Holy Family Catholic Church personnel discovered a guy hanging about the place who shouldn’t have been, so they told him to scram, get lost, beat it.

Assault: 7:17 a.m., 1000 block of 17th Street Southeast. A guy assaulted a woman with a knife.

March 21

Assault: 12:05 a.m., 5960 Terrace View Lane. Police busted a guy who had assaulted his father and his brother and had committed vandalism along the way.

False information: Overnight, 1400 block of 8th Street Northeast. A female, no approximate age given, reported an assault with a firearm, but she lied.

March 22

Commercial theft: 12:25 p.m., 116 Clay St. NW. Two guys tried to steal industrial belongings, undisclosed, from a building.

March 23

Armed robbery: 3:40 a.m., 201 4th St. NE. The Donut and Muffin Factory reported an armed robbery that had gone down on March 14.

Assault: 9:40 a.m., 400 block of 27th Street Southeast. Police arrested a kid who had assaulted his older brother.

Clean getaway: 8 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A lone scoundrel, or several in scoundrelic confederation, stole two cleaners from Safeway.
