The Auburn City Hall Gallery’s December exhibit features a photographic look at everyday objects and landscapes through the artists’ lens of Kent photographer Jennifer J. Hermanson and Auburn photographer Jan Wieser.
The exhibit will be open to the public throughout the month. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, at City Hall, 25 W. Main St. Admission is free.
An artists’ reception and opening will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, from 5:30-7 p.m.
Wieser’s expansive landscapes paired with poignant close-up imagery of her surroundings inspires the viewer to take a closer look and fulfills her goal of creating images to sprint you away from everyday life.
Hermanson grew up with a great appreciation for the outdoors and works to capture images found off the beaten path. Intimate close-up portraits of flowers and plants and stunning black and white infrared photography of landscapes exemplify her work on display.
