Auburn police reported that a man died in Auburn on May 30 as a result of a shooting.
The Auburn Police Department received reports at approximately 9:32 a.m. May 30 regarding shots fired at the intersection of 4th Street and Auburn Way South.
According to the department, the suspect’s vehicle pulled up next to the victim’s vehicle at a stoplight and fired shots into the vehicle. Gunshots struck a man in his 20s in the passenger seat. First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The incident resulted in closures in parts of 4th Street, with the suspect remaining at large as of May 30.
Auburn police have requested information from the public regarding the case.
