A 79-year-old Auburn woman died in a fatal traffic collision on Dec. 1 involving two vehicles 15 miles north of Mattawa, Washington, on State Route 26.

The driver in the second vehicle, a 40-year-old man from Pasco, Washington, suffered no injuries in the accident.

According to the Washington State Patrol, first responders declared Judy Coluccio, 79, of Auburn deceased at the scene of the collision.

According to the state patrol, Coluccio’s vehicle crossed the center lane from the westbound lanes into the eastbound lanes on State Route 26, striking the 40-year-old man’s vehicle head on.

Coluccio’s vehicle arrived at a stop perpendicular in the westbound lanes and the man’s vehicle arrived at a stop in the eastbound lanes.

Investigation into the cause of the collision continues.
