April 16, 1939 – July 5, 2024

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Darlene has passed. She was born to Paul C and Nora A (nee Berg) Westad in Gary, MN and was a life-long resident of Kent and Auburn, attending Kent-Meridian High School where she met James Clayton Myers. They married in 1956. They had 6 children: Paul (Mary), James Jr, Caryn, Tomi, Michael (Wendy) and Lisa who later gave her 19 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, daughter Lisa, son Jimmy and daughters-in-law Karen and Julie.

She was a talented seamstress and baker, an avid reader, and a kind and affectionate wife and mother. In her final years her daughter Caryn lived with her and cared for her with the assistance of granddaughter Rachael.
