Marci Jeannette Killian | Obituary

Marci Jeannette Killian, age 57, passed away in Auburn, WA. June 30, 2024 after a 12 year battle with cancer. She leaves behind two sons; Adam James Massick of Orting WA., Bradley Kenneth Massick of Mesa AZ, her brother David Bryan Killian of Bellingham WA., along with her parents Ken and Roxie Killian of Auburn WA.

Marci was born in Portland OR. on 12/1/1966. She began school in Beaverton OR., and attended grade schools in Garden Grove CA. and Morgan Hill CA. She attended Auburn Cascade Middle School and Auburn High School She loved Auburn High and was a member of the state champion Auburn High Band that competed throughout the northwest and marched in the Pasadena CA. Rose Parade. After attending Washington State University, she returned to Auburn and began her family. Her two sons grew up attending Auburn schools. She was a youth worker with the United Methodist Church taking relief missions to Costa Rica, Louisiana, and Kentucky.

Her love for Auburn High School and cooking culminated in her becoming Instructor of Culinary Arts at Auburn HS serving the school for over 25 years. She was also advisor to the Nesian Nation Club at Auburn High School. Marci loved all water sports and snow skiing

along with spending time with her sons and her cats and dogs. She also loved spending time with cousins and friends. Marci was a friend to anyone and everyone. A Marci Killian Scholarship has been established at Auburn High School.
