A 32-year-old man died in a vehicular collision after striking a telephone pole on Oct. 27 in Auburn.
According to Kolby Crossley, a spokesperson for the Auburn Police Department, the 32-year-old man’s vehicle left the roadway after traveling at a high rate of speed heading northbound on West Valley Highway. The man’s vehicle struck a telephone pole after leaving the roadway at around the 3300 block of West Valley Highway, knocking down the pole.
The driver of a second vehicle, a woman, sustained minor injuries after striking the downed telephone pole, according to Crossley.
According to the department’s public information log, law enforcement responded after receiving a report of the collision at approximately 12 a.m. on Oct. 28.
Investigation into the collision serves as ongoing.
