Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Aug. 16 and Aug. 18:
Aug. 16
Burglary: Overnight, 505 17th St. SE. Holy Family Church reported that someone entered through an unlocked window and stole several computers and other office equipment.
Disorderly conduct: 7:49 p.m., 500 block of 37th Street Southeast. Police arrested a male person for disorderly conduct after he tried to start several fights and blocked pedestrian traffic.
Aug. 17
Theft from vehicle: Overnight, 501 Oravetz Road. Somebody, or several somebodies, broke into students’ vehicles parked overnight at Auburn Riverside High School and stole stereos and miscellaneous items. Police did not disclose a value.
Burglary: 8 a.m., 402 29th St. SE. Three unknown suspects broke into a church and secondary building, ransacked the buildings and swiped cash and checks. Police found fingerprints and shoe prints. Police did not disclose a value.
Theft from motor vehicle: Overnight, 1000 block of 8th Street Northeast. A man reported that someone trying to steal his GPS broke into his car overnight.
Burglary: 10 a.m., 2604 Auburn Way N. Les Schwab reported that somebody stole nine tires from a fenced storage area. Police did not disclose a value.
Shoplifting: 3:40 p.m., 1400 block of Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a male, no age given, for shoplifting after store security at Walmart caught him taking clothing and electronics.
Theft: 2:07 p.m., 31800 block of 110th Ave. SE. A woman reported that her purse had been stolen from the hood of her car while she was placing her child into a car seat. Police did not disclose a value.
Vandalism: 6:30 p.m., 2800 block of D Place Southeast. An ongoing dispute of unknown origin and duration between parties unspecified ended when some unspecified but ticked-off person hurled an ashtray at a window, breaking said window.
Vandalism: 8:47 p.m., 3500 block of Auburn Way North. A couple driving northbound on Auburn Way South reported that an unknown object shattered the rear passenger window of their minivan.
Aug. 18
Strong arm street robbery: 12:55 a.m., 1500 block of Auburn Way North. A man told police that somebody beat him up and stole his wallet at the bus stop at 15th and Auburn Way North.
