Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between Aug. 24 and Aug. 21
Aug. 24
Assault: Overnight,
2402 Auburn Way S. Police
arrested a female for domestic violence after she thwacked her boyfriend of 13 years in the face at the Muckleshoot Casino.
Aug. 23
Theft: Overnight,
1200 block of 29th Street Northwest. A man told police overnight someone had lowered a rented lift and taken his paint sprayer, 18-inch roller and extension pole.
Assault: 3:20 p.m., 2900 block of Auburn Way South. A mother assaulted her daughter, adding a dash of vandalism for good measure.
Laundry looters: 7:58 p.m., 2600 block of D Street Southeast. Subjects unknown stole laundry from the backyard of a home.
Burglary: 10 a.m., 31900 block of Lea Hill Road Southeast. Somebody burglarized a house on Lea Hill Road and stole a number of carpentry tools between Aug. 18 and Aug. 23.
Harassment: 1 a.m., 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street. Police arrested a male passenger of a vehicle after he threatened to assault two people, assaulted one, failed to obey officers’ commands, resisted arrest, and on top of that was an underage person in possession of a fermented refreshment. This guy launched into his string of no-nos after police arrested the female driver for failing to stop when an officer initiated a traffic stop.
Aug. 22
Theft from car: 7:22 a.m., 3400 block of A Street Southeast. Persons unknown broke into somebody’s vehicle and swiped tools.
Swiping smokes:
9:03 a.m., 3900 block
of A Street Southeast.
A female was arrested for shoplifting cigarettes.
Vandalism: 10:33 a.m., 200 block of M Street Northeast. Subjects unknown vandalized somebody’s fence in some undefined way, resulting in an unknown amount of damage and frustration to the owner.
Assault: 1 p.m., 31500 block of 118th Court Southeast. A 23-year-old woman traded punches with her mother over money, but neither combatant spent the night in the slammer because police couldn’t determine who started the dustup.
Aug. 21
Theft: 11 p.m., 1002 Supermall Way Southwest. A theft victim called 911 to report that somebody had stolen her credit cards at Red Robin and that other employees’ property has gone missing, too.
