Aug. 15

Aid call: 2:00 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a girl whose front tooth had been broken in half by a water bottle. A family member took the girl to her dentist.

Aug. 16

Gas leak: 1:43 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to the 360 block of White River Drive and a reported natural gas leak learned that a backhoe had damaged a gas main. Firefighters evacuated houses in the area and stood by until Puget Sound Energy arrived and dealt with the leak.

Aug. 17

Aid call: 8?57 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters responding to reports of a beauty bark fire next to a house determined that the fire was out and had not spread into the crawl space.

Aug. 18

Aid call: 7:11 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters and King County Paramedics helped a person suffering from severe shortness of breath. King County Medics transported the person to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

Aug. 19

Aid call: 11:20 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters helped a middle-aged man who’d complained of a rapid heart rate. A private ambulance treated and transported the man to ARMC in stable condition.

Vehicle rollover: 6:17 p.m., (Lake Tapps). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help East Pierce Fire and Rescue with a vehicle rollover into a tree. The firefighters extricated two people and transported them to local hospitals.

Aug. 21

Water leak: 1:30 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped a homeowner handle a water leak at the meter, notifying the City of Auburn Water Department because the leak was on the City side of the meter.
