Between Feb. 24 and March 2, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 185 calls for service, among them the following:
Feb. 24
Aid call: 6 p.m., (Lea Hill). After firefighters evaluated a young man who was complaining of chest pain, King County Medic One transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.
Feb. 25
Car fire: 5:50 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters responding to a passenger vehicle fire contained it to the vehicle so it couldn’t spread to a nearby residence.
Feb. 26
Aid call: 4:35 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters treated a man who’d been complaining of chronic abdominal pain, and a private ambulance transported him to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma for further evaluation.
Feb. 27
Aid call: 10:52 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a woman who was struggling to breathe, and a private ambulance transported her to Seattle Veterans Hospital.
Feb. 28
Aid call: 7:33 a.m., (Auburn). After firefighters treated a man who had fallen and hit his head, they transported him to MAMC in stable condition.
March 1
Aid call: 2:10 p.m., (Auburn). A boy playing basketball at Auburn High ran into a door and his arm went through the window, breaking and cutting it in multiple places. On-site medical aid was administered, stabilizing the young man. After firefighters evaluated him, a VRFA aid unit transported him to MAMC.
March 2
Aid call: 12:19 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters treated an older man with low blood pressure before King County Medics transported him to MAMC.
