The Auburn School District hosts an informational open house from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20 at the James P. Fugate Administration building, 915 4th St NE.
Residents are encouraged to attend to find out information about the four-year Educational Program and Operations Replacement Levy on the Feb. 9 ballot. District staff will be on hand to answer questions about the replacement levy.
The levy will replace the 2012 levy that expires this year. The levy provides 21 percent of the school district’s budget. Funds from the levy are used for all athletics and activities, special education, textbooks, supplies, counselors, nurses, grounds, building maintenance, honors and Advanced Placement education and transportation.
The election is all-mail and ballots must be postmarked by Feb. 9. Voters must be registered by Jan. 11 to vote in this election.
