Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to a report of a fire in residential structure 600 Block Algona Boulevard in Algona on Thursday.

The reporting party said there was flames from the back of the house with residents exiting the house. Police on location reported flames were through the roof.

A family of two was in the residence when the fire started and was able to escape.

The cause of the fire currently is under investigation.
