The response from the visitors to the Auburn Veterans Day Parade was enormous, gratefully received and deeply appreciated.

Many, many veterans like Frank Bannister, the post commander of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars, donated money, visited and chatted with us.

There were far too many to individually thank, but should be. Former mayor Pete Lewis and John Lee, former director of the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, joined us at the booth helping to explain our goals and greeting people. There was much comradeship shown, which made the event so much fun.

The Veterans Day Parade spring-boarded into events held in Kitsap and Mason counties. Those veteran events, though smaller, were just as successful for us.

Again, thank you Auburn.
