Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between May 6 and 12:
May 6
Theft: 11:47 p.m., 1320 26th St. NW. A local business owner reported that somebody had stolen stone masonry from his shop sometime during the day.
May 8
Vandalism: 7 a.m., 214 A St. NW. A resident complainted that an unknown suspect had slashed the tires on his car overnight.
Theft: 10:30 a.m., 620 37th ST. SE. Somebody stole a student’s cell phone from school. Three other students admitted having a role in the theft.
Stolen property: 9:38 a.m., 917 Auburn Way S. An Auburn U-Haul manager turned over stolen mail that had been found in one of their recently rented trucks.
Shoplifting: 2:44 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Police busted a man for shoplifting $9.83 worth of items from Goodwill.
Gulp and galumph: 12:49 a.m., 521 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a woman for chowing down but failing to pay for the edibles at Denny’s.
Theft of property: Overnight, 1500 block of 3rd Street Southeast. Somebody stole a King County Sheriff’s Office ID badge and an iPod from a vehicle.
Prostitution: Overnight, 900 block of 4th Street Southeast. Police arrested a female for prostitution.
May 9
Shoplifting: 5:45 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a male person for shoplifting items undisclosed from Goodwill.
Keeping Fluffy out: 4 p.m., 100 block of 11th Street Southeast. Somebody kicked in a kitty portal on a garage door.
May 12
Shoplifting: 5:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Thieves swiped numerous clothing items from an undisclosed business in The Outlet Collection Mall.
Counterfeiting: 12:25 p.m., 1315 Auburn Way N. A woman tried to fob bogus bills off an Auburn business.
Possession of marijuana: 4:10 p.m., 1300 block of 6th Place Northeast. A box with marijuana inside was delivered to an address
Trespasssing: 6:30 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a woman for trespassing at the Muckleshoot Casino.
Purse theft: 11:23 p.m., 1300 block of 15th Street Southwest. A female got a ride from a stranger, and he stole her purse.
Theft of copper wire: 12:48 p.m., 2700 block of I Street Northeast. An Auburn resident reported that on May 5, thieves had stolen copper wire from a T-Mobile site.
