Last fall, Albertsons customers throughout the region did their good deed for the environment – and fellow shoppers – by participating in the company’s one-day “Pay it Forward” campaign.

It’s time to do it again. This year’s event is slated for Friday at all Albertsons stores in Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Auburn’s two Albertson’s locations are at 1347 Auburn Way N. and 4010 A St.

Starting at 6 a.m., Albertsons cashiers will each be given five reusable bags to give to their first five customers free of charge. As customers receive their bag they will be invited to dig into their pockets and purses to “Pay it Forward” and purchase a reusable bag for the next customer in line for only four quarters.
