Sockeye Homes continues to collect honors.

The Master Builders Association (MBA) of King and Snohomish Counties and the RemodelersTM Council recently extended three awards to the Auburn-based company, including two for “Major Remodel Excellence” and one for “Green Remodeling.”

The MBA and the RemodelersTM Council honored 16 of its members at its annual Remodeling Excellence Awards (REX) banquet held June 18 at Newcastle.

A judging panel, which consisted of local and national remodelers, media experts and architects, received a total of 39 entries for 23 categories.

Sockeye Homes was a 2010 winner in the National Master Design Award for a bathroom remodel in the $30,000-$50,000 category, and received the coveted Janus Award, reserved only for companies winning the National Master Design Award and National Chrysalis Award in the same year.

Sockeye won nine awards last year.

Sockeye Homes’ award-winning projects also were featured in Seattle Homes & Lifestyles.

Tod Sakai and his wife, Kristin, established the family-owned company four years ago.
