The Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce cautions its members and businesses to be aware of a bogus company that has been calling and asking for personal information and updates with the phone number, 253-265-5466.

When pressed for more information, the caller states it is representing the American Chamber of Commerce, which is a hoax, according to Julia Jordan, Auburn chamber president and CEO.

The only company that is in touch with the local chamber is Metro Media, the directory company that it has been contracted to complete the Auburn chamber’s 2017 welcome guide and business directory.
