New nonprofit dance studio to open in Auburn

Surrendered School of the Arts (SSA) is opening an Auburn satellite campus on Sept. 17. The SSA Auburn campus offers year-long ballet and hip hop classes for students ages 3-16.

The public is invited to a studio grand opening from 4:30 to 7:15 p.m. Sept. 17.

Classes are on Tuesdays at Lifegate Auburn Foursquare Church, 307 E. Main St., Auburn. Members of Paradosi Ballet Company and experienced SSA teachers will lead the classes.

Surrendered School of the Arts is the nonprofit arts studio of Paradosi Ballet Company, the Northwest’s first professional Christian ballet company. SSA was founded in Edgewood in 2009 by directors Joel and Tennille Carver.

Now located in Tacoma, SSA has expanded to include satellite campuses in Orting and Auburn, as well as enrichment classes at Cascade Christian schools.
