To the atheist who acknowledged his belief of the season with a sign:
Why are you so afraid of a nativity scene? Can it physically attack you? If not, why do you care? If, as you say, there are no spiritual powers, what’s the big deal?
Now here’s some righteous indignation. How dare you tell me how I should think. Are you trying to control my mind? Instead of telling people what they should think, why don’t you feed a poor family over the holidays?
Oh, I forgot you do not believe in good, so why bother? How lonely and sad for you.
I choose to celebrate my spirituality. Don’t forget that C.S. Lewis was an atheist of the first order until his heart opened.
I will pray that your heart is opened and you then realize the great power that resides in every human being.
