Did the road crews take Wednesday (Dec. 29) off?

The hail and snow fell and stayed about 8 p.m., and when I left Auburn at 2 a.m., there still hadn’t been a sander truck, a de-icer truck or anything on the streets. I am referring to major streets: Auburn Way North and South, A Street, M Street and even into Pacific with Ellingson.

The sheet of ice was absolutely treacherous.

Two years ago, we graded Seattle after a snowstorm. Well, today I grade Auburn after an ice event – F.

You failed.
