Once again, the city of Auburn was blanketed by Mother Nature. The West Hill received more than 14 inches of snow and, in some cases, even more. This past Sunday night, we received another two-plus inches.
This is something that doesn’t happen very often, but the City of Auburn employees all came to the rescue of the residents. Mayor Pete kept us informed daily of what streets were open, which were closed and how the city was working on the mess we had.
I am proud to be a part of a city that works so hard for their residents, and it was especially helpful to have a city official communicate with us on a regular basis, letting us know how things were going. This was valuable information for the safety of our citizens.
Thank you to all committed to helping their neighbors.
