We recently had the blessing of celebrating 60 years of marriage. We feel very privileged to have lived in an era of freedom and opportunity and to have witnessed our five children and 13 grandchildren grow up in our free country. All are grown, or nearly grown and are responsible citizens who carry their load in a free society.
What concerns us is that our grandchildren and our 19 great-grandchildren may not have the same opportunity.
If we accept a nationalized health care program, it will limit freedom and add considerably to our already dangerous debt load. Our wonderful great-grandchildren will still be saddled with enormous debt and subjected to an increasingly socialist system when they grow up.
Please think about this and let your voice be heard in letters and e-mails and town meetings to keep our freedoms in tact for future generations.
