We need Joe Fain in Olympia.

I’ve worked with Joe Fain on several issues facing South King County, and I know he is the right choice for the 47th District State Senate and the right choice for Auburn. It has been many years since we had a representative in Olympia who lives in our city and really knows our issues. Joe has been working for us for years through his job at the county. He understands how government works and how to make it work for us. In fact he has been my go-to guy at the county whenever I needed help with that complicated bureaucracy. Joe is an active part of our community, serving on local boards like Auburn Youth Resources. I look forward to having a smart, accessible and responsive Senator helping the people of his home town.

Joe’s energy is amazing. He is prepared to roll up his sleeves and work with members of both parties to get the job done. I know that is not just talk, because Joe and I worked together to make the county elections non-partisan. He knows we will never solve our economic and social problems by fighting “across the aisle” and that over zealous partisanship is blocking progress on important issues like funding education, paying for roads and making our state more competitive for the small businesses that provide most of the jobs in this state.

Everyone can see that the current fiscal trends in Olympia are unsustainable. New taxes are not the answer in this economy. Joe believes government must live within its means before asking working families and small businesses for more tax dollars. He advocates a streamlined, efficient state government that serves its citizens’ core priorities well. That calls for tough choices and for listening to the people he serves. I know Joe listens, understands, and works hard. Let’s send him to Olympia to work for us.
