Fireworks is a serious, noisy problem

I'm just writing to express my feelings regarding July 4th fireworks.

I’m just writing to express my feelings regarding July 4th fireworks.

I live in the city of Auburn, and supposedly anything that “goes up or blows up” is illegal in city limits. Then why doesn’t the mayor of Auburn or the police that work under the mayor enforce that?

Where I live on Lea Hill it seems to be a free for all for everyone and anyone to do as they please with no regard for the law or other people’s feelings. The noise went on Monday night until well after midnight. It was disgusting.

I feel that all of the tribes in Washington make more than enough money since the advent of all the casinos. So why do they still feel the need to sell fireworks? They know they are illegal off the reservation but they still continue to sell them.

There are plenty of public displays to satisfy everyone’s need for pyrotechnics, not to mention the expense in this depressed economy.

Something just needs to be done. I, for one, am in favor of a statewide ban.

Anyone else out there feel the way I do?
