Thank you for publishing Rich Elfers’ viewpoint, “Rebellion is just as American as apple pie” in the Oct. 6 Kent Reporter.

I attended several Green River College programs for seniors that Mr. Elfers taught, and the entire class appreciated his unique approach to situations, causing us to re-think our initial feelings.

In his column, he addresses “rebellion” as all-American, and as he explains, it is indeed.
