In response to the letter by Rich Hildreth (“Pay attention to mayor’s inactions”, Auburn Reporter, May 11) I have never seen such a sore loser.
You mean to say that when you did your first term as Pacific mayor, you had everything down to a fine science? Give me a break.
The people have spoken and elected a new mayor. Let the man do his job. Let him learn how to do his job. Everyone who was elected to the City Council was elected to work together as one common cause. Not to fight among one another. If everyone would work together for the good of the people, life would be so much easier.
My wife and I bought a home here in 2004, then decided to volunteer our time to help our city. After seeing all the backstabbing going on, starting with Mayor Hildreth, we resigned our positions. Then after seeing how Hildreth reacted to losing the mayoral job and the City Council not working with Mayor Sun, we’ve decided this is not the place to live any longer. On June 1, we will be moving back East.
I suggest everyone wake up and smell the roses. Get your act together before you have no City of Pacific left, and it becomes one with another local city.
