Special kudos to the City of Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation Department for its KidsDay program held last Friday.

Despite the cloudy skies, my kids enjoyed the new Discovery Playground and the many activities tied to the grand opening.

Auburn has forward-thinking people working in its parks and arts department, allowing kids of all abilities to enjoy what is available to them in their own backyard.

A job well done.
