The inheritance tax affects about 5,000 people nationwide. It is assessed on the very rich, and the first $5.4 million is tax exempt. That’s right. If you are leaving less than $5.4 million, there is no tax.

But Congressman Dave Reichert and the Republican house have voted to repeal it because it is too big a burden. How do they intend to recover that revenue? They want to reduce your Social Security and raise the retirement age. That’s right.

We get to work longer and get less of a return so the very rich don’t have to shoulder this burden.

Still think Reichert is representing you and taking care of your interests? I don’t.
