I have been reading the articles and watching the City Council meetings on television in regards to council member Virginia Haugen. It seems she may need to be more mindful of her remarks and how she presents them and where she is when making statements involving sensitive material. Also, obviously she is required to follow rules and procedures as a member of the City Council.

In her defense, it appears Virginia Haugen is accessible, more approachable to the citizens of Auburn. They call her and send emails. I have had her talk to me on the street corner about my concerns or stop by my business.

I believe Virginia is very passionate about her job as representative. I only hope she will be able to control her conduct so that she may continue to represent the people of this community.
