Thank you, Debbie Luce, and all of you who worked on the Passport Game. What fun. Our family visited every business listed, and it made for a great week. We had a wonderful chocolate heart at Gosanko’s, had my wedding ring cleaned at Nelson’s (where we bought it 25 years ago), saw a great comedy show at the Auburn Ave (if you have not yet attended an event at the Auburn Avenue Theater, which is owned by the City and run by the Parks, Arts & Rec, you really should), explored the museum, enjoyed the beautiful artwork, had breakfast at Sun Break and the casino (yum), lunch at Field’s & Co. and Longhorn (double yum), ate delicious homemade soup at our new favorite place, Cafe Pacific, spent a terrific morning touring Emerald Downs and watching the horses exercise, strolled the SuperMall, and bought fresh produce at the Auburn International Farmers Market. Oh, did I mention Auburn Wine and Caviar? Very nice indeed.
It is wonderful to have all of this so near to home. Having avoided the very depressing downtown Auburn for MANY years, I am thrilled with what it has become – and what is in store. Auburn, you should be proud.
