In response to the letter by Kathleen Hamilton (“Allow the Pacific mayor to lead, work”, Auburn Reporter, May): Although I applaud the fact that you took the time to write a letter, I ask that you take the same time to look at issues for yourself.
Go to a City Council meeting, look at what his “style of Leadership” has done to the city.
The City Council took action to try and stop the bleeding that Mayor Sun’s incompetence is causing.
During the election, Mayor Sun made many claims about the condition of the city that have been proven false. There was no corruption, and that has been proven.
But again, I do not ask you to take my word, or those of the City Council for granted. Take the time to research this information yourself. Find out the truth about Valentine Road, Stewart Road and Milwaukee Boulevard road projects. Ask where the work on the relocation of the White River stormwater pond currently stands.
Pay attention because these projects are the result of many years of hard work and are now in jeopardy because of Mayor Sun’s action.
The City Council did not take action to embarrass Mayor Sun, but to save the taxpayers the loss of millions of dollars in funding that is at stake. That project is not the only one at risk.
This is not an action of politics, this is a call for the citizens to wake up to the realities of what is going on.
