I just finished reading your article expounding the virtues of Bill Peloza (Nov. 5, Auburn Reporter), and I wholeheartedly agree with everything you’ve said.
I am currently the District 11 Commander in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and, as such, I am Bill’s direct boss in that organization. He’s not just a team player, but rather the quarterback.
The time and effort he puts into the organization is without compare. One need not even guess why he was named “captain of the all-state team of post commanders.”
No job, big or small, is too much for him to handle. And I know he must do an equally impressive job as an Auburn City Councilman. Your city should be proud.
The whole world could learn a lot by watching him in action, and then following his example. As someone from outside the Auburn community, I can only wish other local communities had just one person willing to give as much to the betterment of their town.
I know he’s buried in chores, but I have hope that some day he’ll decide to step up the VFW ladder in this state and provide his leadership skills to the entire organization.
I would gladly serve under him, and it is my sincere pleasure to now work with such a man.
