Special care

I am a 91-year-old senior citizen living in the Shag Apartments in Auburn.

Although it is independent living, we are always under the watchful eye of our great manager, Jean Bushaw.

On Aug. 26, I fell on the hard linoleum floor in my bathroom. I called 911, and the medics were there in short order. They decided I should go to the ER as my blood pressure was pretty high.

The nurses and doctors in the ER determined that my hip was not broken, just badly bruised. They sent me up to the fourth floor where I received tender loving care for two days from the dedicated and caring nurses.

Auburn is lucky to have such an excellent facility as Auburn Regional Medical Center.
