As a resident of Auburn for over 15 years, I am proud of what the City has accomplished despite the budget constraints and the hard reality of the economic crisis.

Every household has some reminder of what we have gone through, and I am confident that with Nancy Backus, as our mayor, we can look ahead to completing some of the long-awaited downtown projects.

Nancy’s financial background and service to our community make her an especially good candidate for the challenging years ahead. We need someone like Nancy to bring her vitality and energy to the tasks that need to be completed.

As current deputy mayor she has participated in many of the exciting changes in Auburn, e.g., the King County Auburn Library renovation, road improvements, downtown development, Miss Auburn Pageant for our youth and many other achievements for the city.

I fully support her candidacy and urge our voters to assess her qualifications and make the right decision for Auburn’s future.
