I serve on the Suburban Cities Association Public Issues Committee for the city of Maple Valley.

There are many great individuals who serve on the committee. But there is one man who truly made a difference for me during the last three years. This man is the mayor for the city of Algona, Dave Hill.

When I was new to the committee, Mayor Hill took the time out of his busy schedule to make me feel welcome, answer any questions I had and develop a friendship.

I simply want to say that if every city, state and nation had politicians such as Dave Hill, we would truly be seeing a vast difference around the world.

Dave is a true role model whom many can follow.

I simply want to tell him thank you for doing such a great job.
