I am a senior citizen living in a 55-and-over mobile home park in north Auburn. I’ve been here for about four years.

I don’t have much, but would like to keep what I have. I recently saw someone steal, of all things, my flag and pole. It was on my front porch for some time.

It’s not the cost I’m concerned about, it’s just the idea of stealing such a thing.

My wife passed away about 15 years ago. I bought a brass vase for her gravesite; that was stolen also.

I guess, my advice is bring your outside valuables inside your house every evening or whenever you leave.

But all this leaves me sick.
