‘Tis the season of taking

Not once, but twice I had several Christmas lights stolen from the string of lights I had put around my garage doors.

The first time, I overlooked it and replaced the bulbs; then after a few days, the same thing happened again. It really angered me, and I wasn’t as forgiving the second time, so instead of replacing the bulbs again, I removed the strings of lights entirely.

I have a sick husband and am his sole caregiver, and I work very hard and the lights are one thing that make me happy. What a despicable thing to do, not to mention it really dampens one’s spirit.

My question to the person out there that did this is, “why?” What kind of children are people raising these days? I feel sorry for someone that gets their kicks this way.

Merry Christmas everyone. Bah, humbug.
