What downtown park?

I commend our city for leveraging the funds for a downtown park.

I walk downtown with my dogs every day. However, the park is terribly ugly. I mean really, really ugly. Paved with bricks, surrounded by gravel, adjacent to a condemned hideous building, the “park” has enough seating for six people on three stone benches. No shade, no grass, no water, no shelter, no reason for anybody to “gather” in our downtown plaza.

On a hot day, who will want to stand on those bricks or sit on a hot stone bench?

Come on, seven million dollars for that? Our tax dollars at work. Thanks, Pete.
