Bartell Drugs is launching an extensive seasonal flu vaccination program offering a full schedule of in-store vaccinations for individuals and a flu clinic program serving area businesses.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against the serious disease.Bartell Drugs is now offering in-store flu shots by appointment or a walk-in basis at many locations.

All in-store flu vaccination recipients will receive a Bartell’s coupon book with over $140 in store-wide savings.

Pharmacists can immunize anyone 14 years of age or older (ages 14 through 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian).

Bartell’s also is offering Fluzone(r) High-Dose, an influenza vaccine designed specifically for people 65 years and older. Fluzone(r) High-Dose vaccines containfour times the amount of antigen (the part of the vaccine that prompts the body to make antibody) contained in regular flu shots.

For area businesses with 25 or more employees, Bartell Drugs is launching its corporate seasonal flu vaccination program-offering “in-the-workplace” flu shot clinics. Now in its fifth year, the program provides a convenient way for businesses and employees to decrease sick time and lost productivity due to sickness.
