Suburban Showgirl – Palmer Davis’ inspirational one-woman tour de force – comes to stage at the Auburn Avenue Theater on Saturday, March 11.
The Bravo series performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the historic theater, 10 Auburn Ave.
Suburban Showgirl, written by and starring Davis, discovers that life hasn’t turned out quite the way she had hoped.
Fired from her dream job, husband in jail, and locked in a backstage bathroom five minutes before curtain, Broadway dancer-turned-magician’s assistant Wendy Walker is having the worst day of her life. Trying to understand how her perfectly choreographed life has spun wildly out of control, Walker relives the heartaches and joys of being a professional dancer and the challenges of keeping her family intact.
