The City of Auburn’s BRAVO Performing Arts Series continues with tap sensation Barbara Duffy & Company Stages on Friday, Feb. 26 at the Auburn Performing Arts Center.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. at APAC, located at 700 E. Main St.
With emotionally driven choreography and stylistic variety, the narrative of Stages touches upon life’s little everyday challenges such as love, friendship, self-doubt and the courage to express one’s true identity.
As one of the few all-women tap companies, Barbara Duffy & Company has created “Stages” not only as a vehicle to do what they do best, but to express new tap forms and connect to a broader audience. Stages incorporates song, dance, dialogue and improvisation into an evening of high energy entertainment, paying tribute to the masters who shaped the tap dance as an art form, providing a unique perspective on its future, and celebrating life through the universal power of rhythm.
Tickets for the performance are $18 regular, $16 students and seniors. To order, call 253-931-3043, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
