Four American bands will make up the Carnival of Madness Tour set to perform at the Washington State Fair on Sept. 18.

The lineup includes Shinedown (“45,” “The Sound of Madness”), Skillet (“Believe,” “Saviour”), In This Moment (“Adrenalize,” “Prayers”) and We As Human (“Zombie,” “Take the Bullets Away”) will give fans a full night of musical enjoyment.

The music begins at 5 p.m., part of the concert series presented by Columbia Bank.

Tickets are $45 for infield general admission, and $35 for grandstand seating general admission, and include fair gate admission, unless noted. Tickets will be sale beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22 on the Fair website, www.thefair.com/concerts or by phone at 888-559-FAIR (3247) daily, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets also can be purchased in person at the Washington State Fair’s Box Office, 9th Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Shinedown

American hard rock band, Shinedown formed in 2001 in Jacksonville, Florida. Founders Brent Smith (vocals) and Barry Kerch (drums) are two of the founding members, now joined by Zach Myers (guitar), and Eric Bass (bassist and pianist).

They have sold more than six million albums worldwide, including albums, Leave a Whisper (2003), Us and Them (2005), The Sound of Madness (2008) and Amaryllis (2012).

Skillet

Memphis, Tenn., was the starting off spot for American Christian rock band in 1996. John Cooper (lead vocals, bass) is the only founder left with the group. He is joined by wife Korey Cooper (rhythm guitar), John Ledger (drums) and Seth Morrison (lead guitar).

The band has produced eight albums, and has received two Grammy nominations (Collide and Comatose). Their album, Awake was certified Platinum, and debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 2. Comatose was certified Gold by RIAA.

The band has sold more than two million albums in the United States. Songkick.com proclaimed Skillet in 2011 in the top five ranking of the Hardest Working Bands.

In This Moment

Los Angeles-based band In This Moment got its start in 2005 under the name, Dying Star. Founding members Marina Brink and Chris Howorth are now joined by Travis Johnson, Tome Hane, and Randy Weitzel.

The first album released by this heavy metal band was Beautiful Tragedy in 2007. A year later The Dream was released, and debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 73. The group’s fourth album, Blood was released last August, and debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 chart.

We As Human

We As Human, a Christian rock band formed in Nashville with members: Justin Cordie (vocals/guitar), Adam Osborne (drums), Justin Forshaw (guitar), Jake Jones (guitar) and Dabe Draggoo (bass).

The band has release an EP, “Burning Satellites.” With a focus to bring rock and roll back to the masses, We As Human is soon releasing their first album, which is self titled.
