Chris Young, Cassadee Pope bring country music to State Fair on Sept. 19

Chris Young with special guest Cassadee Pope – dynamic country artists – perform at the Washington State Fair on Monday, Sept. 19, part of the Columbia Bank Concert Series.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2. Tickets are $60 Golden Circle, $50, $40 and include fair gate admission. Tickets will be available on the fair website or by phone (888) 559-FAIR (3247) daily, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Washington State Fair’s Box Office at 9th Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Online and phone purchases are subject to standard processing fees. Tickets purchased on site will be charged a $2 per ticket service fee.

Young

With five albums to his credit, Young has amassed seven No. 1 singles, 11 Gold/Platinum certifications and performed for audiences ranging from “Good Morning America” to Australia and Japan to “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.

The RCA Records artist is a dynamic live performer who plays a powerhouse show packed with hits, including chart toppers “Gettin’ You Home,” “Voices,” “Tomorrow,” and “I’m Comin’ Over.”

CMT’s Next Women of Country winner catapulted from winning season three of “The Voice” to having sold more than one million downloads of her platinum-certified debut single, “Wasting All These Tears.”

Mentor Blake Shelton presented Pope with another fan-voted honor – 2014 CMT Music Awards’ Breakthrough Video of the Year. She ended 2014 with a Female Vocalist of the Year nomination at the first-ever American Country Countdown Awards.

State fair

The Washington State Fair is one of the biggest fairs in the world, and the largest in the Pacific Northwest. It started in 1900 in Puyallup, and welcomes more than one million guests to the single largest attended event in the state.

Star-studded entertainment, the PRCA Rodeo, rides, exhibits, food, flowers and animals are mainstays of the 21-day event that kicks off the Friday of Labor Day weekend.
